Challenge

The challenge we faced included several aspects. First of all, technical and sales consultants at Hensel must have extensive technical knowledge and sales skills. In addition, efficient and regular use of CRM systems is required, which requires a solid knowledge of IT tools.

One of the biggest challenges was the recruitment strategy we, as a recruitment agency, decided to adopt. Due to the nature of the electrical engineering industry and the fact that traditional job advertisements were not yielding the expected results, we decided to use a Direct Search strategy. It involved actively seeking candidates, not only from the electrical and construction industry, but also from the FMCG sector, this was possible thanks to very good onboarding and training processes. The decision was aimed at bringing new perspectives and skills to Hensel's sales team, which could contribute to the company's innovation and efficiency. However, this approach increased the difficulty of finding the right people who not only met the technical requirements, but also had experience in different sectors. Building long-term relationships with customers and actively recruiting new contacts was also key.

An important part of the work of technical and commercial advisors is also the negotiation of the terms of concluded transactions, which is important in the context of comprehensive customer service and the creation of technical and commercial offers.

 

Action strategy and recruitment process

We started our work with:

Identification of Candidates. In the recruitment process, it is crucial to precisely identify the requirements for a position. The job of technical and sales consultant is one example where a detailed understanding of the role is essential.

Direct contact, we made direct contact with selected candidates. We conducted initial phone calls and interviews to gauge their interest in the offer and to pre-verify their qualifications.
