Pearl Group's clients include companies such as Bohus, Motek, Fjellsport, Telenor, Komplett, Norengros, Jernia, Outnorth, Vitus, Norgesgruppen, H&M, Eplehuset, Dafgårds, Borregaard, Travel Retail Norway, and Norwegian. The company was founded in 2006 and is owned by Norvestor and employees. Revenues in 2021 were 484 MNOK, and it employs 270 people. Pearl Group's headquarters are located in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Latvia, Ukraine and Singapore.
Convert Group is a design and technology agency with a vision to create the best e-commerce solutions in Norway and maybe even the world. Convert Group's clients include companies such as Bohus, Eplehuset, Bjørklund, Sunkost, The Body Shop, Floyd, Apotera. The company employs 75 people and is headquartered in Oslo. Revenue in 2021 was 53.6 MNOK, and the company has grown 93% in the last 3 years, with an average annual growth of 30% over the last 5 years. Convert Group was founded in 2015, and is owned (20% each) by Markus Sæther, Ole Heintz, Ingar Melby, Claus Sørensen and Stian Laursen (through holding company Neovada). Convert Group has been recognized by Deloitte Technology Fast 50 (2021), 4 x Gazelle and is considered a great place to work. Challenge
Convert approached Fast Forward Solutions for support in recruiting 5-6 Magento 2 Developers. The company wanted a fast and efficient recruitment process for Magento Developers. We met with Convert's Country Manager in order to determine the recruitment strategy and learn what was expected of the candidates. After the meeting, we knew exactly what kind of candidates the company was looking for as well as that there are not too many candidates with such qualifications in Poland and Magento 2 competencies are highly sought after by other players in the market. Since the Polish language was not a prerequisite, we decided, in agreement with the company, to extend the search to EMEA countries, in particular Romania, Bulgaria, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.
Action strategy and recruitment process

Develop and implement a communication strategy with candidates
Develop a sourcing strategy.
Initially, our sourcing strategy was based on reaching out to candidates using Direct Search methodologies identified on LinkedIn, GitHub and searching for them in our unique Magento/PHP candidate database created with the most modern recruitment tools available on the market today. We then prepared a recruitment campaign with specific parameters and a sequence of emails/emails. After the first week of the campaign, we found that the correctly identified candidates were not very responsive. As a result, we had to add new elements to our strategy and decided to use referrals (aka referrals) while maintaining RODO standards. There were 2 recruiters and 1 sourcer working on the project.
Given the limited time of the project, our team of recruiters worked in recruitment sprints.
Effects
The effects of the FFS-led recruitment were significant and quickly produced the desired results. In 3 months, 18 candidates were successfully presented, an impressive result considering the limited time of the project and the difficulty of finding suitable candidates in the European market. With the hiring of 5 ( 4 from Poland, 1 from Bulgaria ), Pearl Convert successfully established a Magento 2 development team in the Gdansk office, which had a positive impact on the company's business development.
The FFS team engaged in the recruitment process, adapting the strategy to the candidates' labor market situation and using the best recruitment tools. It is worth noting that the use of referrals (referrals) allowed us to reach the right candidates and speed up the recruitment process for Magento Developers.
